Mapping of Scholarly Communications of Information Research Journal (1995–2017): A Bibliometric Study

Abstract


This article analyzes the publications of Information Research Journal (IRJ) between 1995 and 2017. The impact factor of IRJ in 2016 is 0.574 and average impact factor for the last five years is 0.793. Web of Science (WOS) based records were investigated by various scientometric parameters; there were 355 articles published during the study period, the maximum number of articles in 2017 as 93; results showing that single author contributions are more than co-authorship pattern and USA based researchers are leading in IRJ publications than rest of other countries.
