Abstract


The paper gives an introduction to the present study. This paper provides the need of the study, and its conceptual background. It gives a graphic overview of the use of RFID in libraries. Stating the problem, delineates the aims and objectives to the study. Further, the paper highlights the hypotheses, scope and limitations, the purpose of study. It ends with the Research Design which reflects the research methodology. It deals with review of available literature related to Barcode and RFID in relation to library operations. The paper introduces the models of decision making, which forms the backbone of this study. It presents the analysis and interpretation of the collected data. The treatment of the data includes a number of tables and some illustrations. It culls out and consolidates all the general observations, functional/technical findings and managerial criteria to be considered for choosing RFID technology. This is followed by testing of hypothesis, compliance of objectives and development of the two required models. It gives the suggestions and conclusions.
