https://sciencejournals.stmjournals.in/index.php/JoALS/article/view/3758

The study indicates the Utilization of Library Services by 16 National Institute of Fashion Technology campus library users of India as a sample for the study. Objectives: The result is to discover the utilization of library services by 16 National Institute of Fashion Technology campus library users. to examine the awareness of craft repository and OPAC service by NIFT library users, to understand the purpose of using Swatch Library, to know the extent of use of Swatch Library and to find out the satisfaction of using library services. Methodology: The investigator accepted the descriptive survey method, the data collected through questionnaires. Out of 1638 questionnaires 1327 filled questionnaires were received. In this study, a random sampling method was adopted. Statistical techniques used for collecting data from students and research scholars were examined and tabulated by using incident counts, simple percentages, mean, and Standard Deviation (SD). Results and discussions: A total of 1327 respondents participated (including UG, PG students, Research scholars and teaching faculty members comprising of Professors, Associate professors, and Assistant professors) in the study by providing their opinions. Maximum respondents are female, significantly high number of 250 first-year UG students under the age of 18 have participated in the survey, followed by 196 third-year UG students; in the faculty category, two faculty fall in the age group of 19-22, a significant highest number of responses were obtained for the awareness of craft repository service and OPAC service, and 74% of respondents are satisfied with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Library Services.
Divakara H.S.Harish H.T.

https://sciencejournals.stmjournals.in/index.php/JoALS/article/view/3716

In an era characterized by the relentless march of digital progress, the role of documentation in library science remains a steadfast and essential foundation for the preservation and dissemination of knowledge. This paper delves into the enduring significance of documentation within the field of library science, emphasizing its critical role in safeguarding information for the benefit of future generations. The paper begins by highlighting the historical evolution of documentation practices in libraries, tracing their origins to ancient civilizations and their continuous adaptation to the changing technological landscape. It explores how documentation has transcended physical boundaries to embrace digital formats, providing unprecedented access to vast repositories of information. In today's information age, libraries and librarians serve as the custodians of this knowledge, acting as gatekeepers who curate, organize, and make information accessible to a diverse global audience. The paper discusses the challenges faced by modern libraries, such as information overload and the imperative to ensure the authenticity and reliability of digital resources. Furthermore, it examines the pivotal role of metadata in effective documentation, underscoring how metadata standards have become indispensable tools for cataloging and classifying resources, enhancing discoverability, and facilitating interoperability between library systems. The advent of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, has revolutionized documentation processes, enabling libraries to automate various tasks, streamline workflows, and enhance user experiences. This paper explores these technological innovations and their potential to reshape the future of documentation in library science. Throughout the paper, the enduring significance of documentation is woven into the narrative. It underscores how documentation not only serves as a tool for knowledge preservation but also as a means of cultural heritage conservation. The paper argues that libraries play a vital role in bridging the past and the future, ensuring that the wisdom and achievements of previous generations continue to enrich the lives of those yet to come. In conclusion, this paper reaffirms the significance of documentation in library science as an indispensable cornerstone for preserving and disseminating knowledge. It explores the evolving landscape of documentation practices, the challenges posed by modern technology, and the ethical considerations that underpin this critical field. As libraries adapt to the ever-changing information ecosystem, they remain beacons of intellectual stewardship, ensuring that the flame of knowledge continues to burn brightly for future generations to embrace and expand upon.

Prashant Bopapurkar

This research paper attempts to evaluate the IEEE publications in the field of computer science in India with other collaborations on the basis of research indexed in the Web of Science online database for 12 years during the period from 2010 to 2021. A total of 63,793 research publications, 1,83,803 citations, and 108 h-index were received in India. A maximum of 9,708 (15.22%) with 26,122 (14.21%)
citations received in research publications contributed to the year 2015. The maximum number of 2,268 (3.560%) papers produced, with 18,162 (9.88%) citations from the United States, was 613 (0.96%) with 6,893 citations, and United Kingdom with 547 (0.86%) with 4,532 citations. It was identified that India with more than 112 countries collaborated on papers published and 7 countries on non-cited papers publications. India collaborated with the United States, China, the United Kingdom, and Australia on the most highly cited articles.
Boya KumarPraveen B. Hulloli

https://sciencejournals.stmjournals.in/index.php/JoALS/article/view/3729

Open sources are commonly used in libraries and information centers across the globe. As the libraries have different natures and services being provided, they are facing different challenges in implementing and adopting open sources like DSpace, Koha, Greenstone, and so on. These open sources are very popular among Library and Information Science professionals in the world for rendering automation and network-based services to the users’ community. While implementing or installing of DSpace software, professionals face many challenges associated with operating systems, compatibility with existing hardware and software being used, application of DSpace, using the latest versions of the operating system, and open source. With their in-depth knowledge and practical experience implementing these sources in many libraries in India, both authors have been facing and rectifying various issues of implementation of these sources and have been giving solutions to the challenges
being faced. With the applications of the latest versions of these open sources at all the libraries of the Poornima Group of Institutions, authors have been practicing finding the best solutions to the challenges. Through this article, solutions have been shared that are based on practical experience.
Ravindra MohanDeep Singh

https://sciencejournals.stmjournals.in/index.php/JoALS/article/view/3726

Human values are the core of human beings, which include love, honesty, truth, peace, faith, friendship, loyalty, and so on. The following research is directed at determining the amount of humanity present in today’s new generation. As in today’s generation, the values of humanity are decreasing. It is a huge obstacle for the future of society that the new generation is losing human values. People of the new
generation are losing the basic human ethics, which must be present in every single person in society, but the new generation is getting toxier and toxier, losing their honesty, telling lies and lies only, losing humility and kindness, becoming intolerable to everything, and losing patience. The methodology used in this article is data collected from secondary sources like magazines, newspapers, books, articles,
journals, and so forth. The findings of the research show that decreasing humanity is due to lack of spending time with parents; they are unable to pass on these values to their children as they are working for their family the whole day long. This new generation can be easily misled by small influences. Human values and basic ethical and moral values can be instilled in the next generation by teaching them about human values in schools or colleges. Only after this society will grow up and become a good society.
Aayush PareekGarima KachharaAnuj MishraEklavya EklavyaGaurang Joshi
