Synthesis, Characterization and Drug delivery Application of Poly (Safranine) based triblock copolymer

Abstract


Synthesis, characterization and humidity sensor application of poly(safranin) (PSaf) was carried out under inert atmosphere. The monomer to initiator ratio [M0/I0] was maintained accurately at 100. In order to improve the molecular weight and processability it was block copolymerized with bio-compatible and bio-degradable ε-caprolactone (CL) and water-soluble tetrahydrofuran (THF) separately. Thus, the derived triblock copolymer was subjected to humidity sensor application and the results are viewed in broad approach and thus critically compared. The triblock were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Cyclic voltammetry, GPC analysis, FESEM analysis, conductivity and drug release study. The results achieved here in the present investigation were critically compared with the literature values.
