A Review on Food Security and Climate Change
Abstract
Abstract
The spectra of climate change, together with other global environmental changes (GECs) viz. changes in water, land cover, altered nitrogen availability and cycling (as remarkably influenced by human activities), has increased concerns about achieving food security for the people. Food security depends on robust food systems, population’s socioeconomic condition, climate change and agricultural habits. The present review article mainly focusses on the food system, issues of food security, factors involved in climate change, food vulnerability, drivers and current dimension of global food security.
Keywords: food security, food systems, climate change, environmental drivers, global environmental change (GEC)
