Kajaria Divya, Chandola H.M.

Abstract

Abstract
Treatment aims at disrupting the pathogenesis and therefore accurate knowledge of pathogenesis is sine qua non for conquering the disease. Searching successful remedy with erroneous lead in the pathogenesis is like shooting an arrow in the dark. Diabetes is presently the most threatening disease, noosing the human being because of lacuna in proper knowledge of pathogenesis. Though researches have opened the hidden mystery of pathogenesis even at the level of genes and now it is possible to track even the molecular signaling but the ultimate results remain unchanged, i.e., the disease is still incurable. Are we hunting truth in right direction? Sometimes the hope of future light may come from the beams of the past. In the present paper, the authors have discussed the pathogenesis of diabetes according to both Ayurvedic and modern view and have tried to mark out the difference between their approaches and its consequences.
