E-Information Usage among Engineering College Faculties in Karnataka with Special Reference to Mysore Region

Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to analyse and evaluate the use of e-resources by the engineering college faculties in Mysore region. It aims to consider the various factors of e-resources usage such as purposes, impact, importance, problems, acceptance, and satisfaction with e-resources. A survey method of research was applied to ascertain the present status of use of e-resources. The investigator will adopt survey method. The tools for collecting data will be through questionnaire from the faculty members of engineering college libraries of Mysore region, keeping in mind the basic objectives of the study. The data was personally collected from the faculty members. Besides, personal interviews were also conducted with library and information science professionals to use & assess of the e-resources by the faculty members. The study finds many aspects of e-resources use among engineering college of Mysore region. It reveals that engineering college faculties were using many types of e-resources
