Use of Electronic Information Resources by Engineering Students in Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore: A Study

Abstract
This study reports the use of electronic information resources by engineering students at Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT), Bangalore. This study is trying to verify and evaluate the purpose, frequency, reasons of using and place of students’ access to e-resources, and survey method was used for the study. A structured questionnaire was administered to the 80 engineering students. Data collected were analysed using simple descriptive statistics. It is found that maximum students are aware and use e-resources of library and most of the engineering students use search engine for accessing e-resource is Google.
