Job Satisfaction Evaluation Based on Pay (as per the 7th Pay)

Abstract


The present study highlights the job satisfaction evaluation based on pay (as per the 7th pay). The given pay is as per the 7th pay commission of India. The intensely satisfied and satisfied respondents have been added to know the analysis’s satisfaction level based on pay. The respondents’ satisfaction level has been found after that. The study explores all of the most considered and more appropriate government postgraduate and graduate colleges in Uttar Pradesh belonging to different faculties like Science, Arts, Commerce and Education. The survey was conducted among 106 faculty members of government postgraduate and graduate colleges in three districts of Uttar Pradesh. In the salary comparison with other professions, it was observed that there is more satisfaction in pay. When asked about the effect of workload on pay, 78.43% said their salary is in the workload proportion. 87.5% showed intense satisfaction with salary proportion of the workload. Regarding salary and requirement/need management of professionals, it was analyzed that 94.11% of respondents found it very hard to meet the expenses in their present pay. In comparison, 88.24% of respondents found their pay quite sufficient for their expenses. It also is seen that 76.47% were satisfied with the standard of living and admitted about their improved living standard because of being in this profession.
