Use of Bibliometric Indicators in Chinese Librarianship: An International Electronic Journal (2005–2017)
Abstract
The study analyzed the research articles published in Chinese Librarianship: an International Electronic Journal (CLIEJ) during 2005–2017. Various aspects such as of the 138 articles published in the period were studied and discussed on issues such as distribution of article by year, quantitative growth of articles by number and year, authorship patterns, distribution of contributions by institution, subject distributions, citation patterns, length of articles, and degree of author collaboration. The findings revealed that collaborative articles were more than single-authors. Academic/Research institutions are the most visible contributors.
