Abstract

Based on the analysis of 358 articles published by 491 researchers of University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad for the year 2017, the study identifies authorship pattern. The study finds that solo research is no more there in the UASD during the specified period. Further, co-authorship is tending towards team research. A small number of researchers are continuously engaged in research. It is recommended that the University should develop institution’s ‘Publications Encouragement Policy’ for the potential authors providing guidelines on giving authorship, authorship coupling, and indicating statement of responsibility.
