The main purpose of this work is to identify, explore and document the literature pertaining to various aspects of search and retrieval efficiency of different online resources. This further provides an insight into the trends in available literature pertaining to different aspects of retrieval efficiency of such tools. The study divulges that not much of the work has been done in this field and research scholars can find a lot more areas to study upon.
