How Academia of SMVD University Pursue for Various Available Online Search Tools

Abstract


A questionnaire-based survey was carried out for the current study in order to stimulate information from the respondents who comprises of 115 teachers and researchers of SMVDU. Krejcie and Morgan sampling table and stratified random sampling technique were adopted for calculating the sample size from the whole population. The process of analyzing the data was done by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), however in order to measure the level of significance of different revealed facts and difference among respondents of varied status, ‘Pearson’s’ and ‘Kruskal Wallis’ Chi-Square test (χ2)’ were used as per their need felt. The result of the study clearly reveals that among various available search engines, Google consistently ascertained to be exceedingly preferred search engines among teachers and researchers of SMVDU. Majority of academia of SMVDU prefer to use ‘Free Access’ web resources as compared to ‘Toll Access’ ones.
