Research Data Management Services in the Indian Institute of Technology Libraries

Anuradha Maurya, Margam Madhusudhan

Abstract

Research Data Management (RDM) Service in university libraries is growing and is the most demanded service, especially for researchers. Still, many researchers need help understanding the particular research process, the life cycle of their produced data, and its management for upcoming research. Nowadays, research data is used to train upcoming professionals and teach them about specific fields of knowledge. These data will be stored, organized, and preserved on the institutional repository or the researcher's departmental external disk to be easily reused and promoted for other research works. The study's main objective is to determine the awareness of RDM services among Library and Information Science professionals working at seven IITs in North India.
