Automated serials control at the B G S Institute of Technology Central Library: an overview

Serial management module is a main subsystem of library automation in engineering college libraries in India. Its includes the following processes: new subscription, place firm order, receive subscription invoice, subscription invoice payment details, register serial issue, serial routing list, serial binding management (prepare logical binding list, place binding order, receive binding order, accession bound items) and add to renewal list. B. G. S. Institute of Technology central library started the automation of serial management section with the help of NewGenLib 3.1.2. It is very user friendly library management software.
