Synthesis And Spectral Of Some Biologically Active Chromium (III) Complexes With Macrocyclic Ligands

Abstract


A large number of modern techniques have been developed for the synthesis of macrocyclic complexes. Forty chromium complexes of the type [CrX2.L1-20]X; (Where X=Cl or NO3; L=macrocyclic ligands) derived from condensation of 2,3-butanedione or 1, 2-diphenyl-ethane 1,2-dione (2mmol) with different aliphatic diamines (2mmol) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, electronic spectra, IR spectra, magnetic moment and X-ray photoelectron data (i.e. XPS data). An octahedral geometry is also proposed for each complex.
