

A Review on Bioflavonoids of Allium cepa
Abstract
Bioflavonoids of Allium cepa are most abundant polyphenols, diverse group of plant chemicals, pigments and secondary metabolites. Quercetin, rutin, kaempferol, myricetin, isorhamentin flavonoids are found in Allium cepa. These flavonoids act as antioxidants, physiological regulators, chemical messengers and cell cycle inhibitors. These show various pharmacological activities like anti-cancer activity, anti-inflammatory activity, anti-oxidant activity and anti-oxidant activity.
