Nivedita Singh, Phirriyalatha A, Arjun Suresh

Abstract

Technology has entered around the 1980s in the realm of education in India. The interesting thing to notice is that even in so much advancement in technology from education broadcasting through radio to use of Artificial Intelligence like Alexa, the actual use in the field was so slow until the global lockdown due to COVID-19. It is a fact that change is the law of nature and human has the tendency and capacity to change the challenges into opportunities. But before actually working in the same field, one should know its benefits and challenges. This present research article is trying to portray the benefits of online learning in the present scenario and hence create an acceptance and adaptability among the users and society. At the same time, the challenges and limitations are also highlighted so that further work could be done in future and these challenges and limitations could be handled boldly and with preparations to minimise their effects. Online learning is just the starting after COVID-19, it would be going to new heights which can be imagined by just thinking of students sitting in front of technology in their homes and facing their teachers.
