ABSTRACT
Heracleum candicans Wall. (Fam., Umbellifereae), commonly known as cowparanship, is frequently used in the treatment of spasmodic, mutagenic, dermal photosensitizing, skin diseases, anti-tuberculosive and anticonvulsive activity and antimicrobial activities. This review summarizes the chemical constituents (furanocoumarin, coumarin and other chemical compounds) present in Heracleum candicans Wall. This plant species is a rich source of furanocoumarin, coumarin, fatty acids and their derivatives.
