COVID-19: Are We Prepared for the Pandemic or Starting Now?

Mogaraju Jagadish Kumar

Abstract

SARS-CoV-2 has impregnated all the sections of the world. It is our duty to prepare ourselves to this pandemic. Several attempts are being made to identify the drugs to combat COVID-19. The present paper reviewed the latest developments in COVID-19 research. It also emphasized the role of bioinformatics tools whilst identifying the candidate drugs. Some of the information pertaining to the vaccines available was discussed. The role of open-source software tools and data repositories was also discussed. The importance of phylogenic analysis was presented.
