Comparative Study on Wind Energy Conversion System for Maximum Power Point Tracking

Bharat Singh, Ajay Sharma, Vikas Pabla, Dhwaj Aggarwal

Abstract

Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) has been in focus since a long time in the system of energy conversion from a renewable energy source. A number research papers in various journals and conferences proposed to offer better and faster MPPT techniques for wind energy conversion system (WECS). A brief yet comprehensive analysis of these techniques with an in depth review of their strengths and drawbacks have been compared in this study. Different control algorithms have also been discussed. Therefore this research study can serve as a precise reference for the future research on MPPT for WECS.
