Reading Habits in Digital Era: A Study of Ph.D. Researchers of the Language Departments of Shivaji University, Kolhapur

When reading is transformed into a habit, another notion called “reading habit” comes into picture. The present study aims to assess the reading habits of Ph.D. researchers of ‘Language Departments’ of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Descriptive approach of research was followed for designing the structured questionnaire. The final draft of the questionnaire was personally distributed to 53 respondents. A total number of 46 researchers (86.79%) responded to the questionnaire. The analysis of data collected was conducted with MS-Excel to study the set objectives. The results of the study have fulfilled the framed objectives of the study. The study shows the positive impact of digital media on the reading habits of the respondents.
