Designing Dynamic Library Website by Using Wordpress Open Source Content Management System: A Study

Library website is a gateway of information for all the library users. Today’s Libraries are continuously searching innovative ways to reach their patrons. It cater the information needs of a techno savvy new generation user group that prefers to reside in an open. This paper represents the integration of Wordpress (http://www.wordpress.org) with the library web portal for providing the interactive services to the users. Wordpress platform used to create, manage, edits and publishes contents on the web sites. It meets the requirements of library portal contents like library general information, library services, library resources, various links, web 2.0 tools etc. This article discusses the process of design and development of the library website by using Wordpress content management system.
