The Impact of Internet of Things (IoT) on Libraries and Library Services

Internet of things (IoT) - the new paradigm has a great impact on different areas like industry, health, education, agriculture, farming etc. and its main functions are to make our life easier andmore comfortable. It also affected the libraries and it’s all the activities in terms of providing users services. Implementing this new technology in any library has advantages but alsoall the players (libraries, and library users) in this field should be aware of somechallenges and threats like privacy, security and standardization. The article aims to explore how IoT changes the way of work in the libraries and present some of its best practices, and trends.
