Abstract

Green initiatives are gaining importance in every walk of the life.  Libraries and librarians are also taking initiatives in supporting the ‘Go Green’ concept.  In this paper an attempt has made to know the whole concept of green library, areas to be converted into green zone, standards, initiatives of green movement, role of librarian, challenges, awards of green initiatives etc
