Mapping of Research Output of Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali: A Scientometric Sketch

Abstract


The main aim of this study is to evaluate and analyse the research publication of the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, from 2012 to 2021. The present study has been selected from the SCOPUS database for selecting affiliation Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, in the last ten years of research publications. The study revealed the growth & impact of publications, productive authors, subject-wise & document-wise distributions, collaborative countries & institutes/organizations, most productive journals, most frequent keywords, and highly cited papers. The study analysed the data using Excel and VOSviewer version 1.16.18 for visualizations. The researchers retrieved a total of 1,266 documents, including various types of documents such as articles, conferences proceedings, reviews, etc. The study reflects that the most productive author was A. K. Ganguli, with 104 papers, whereas the most preferred journal was Plant Cell Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, with 52 papers. The most collaborative country was the USA, with 55 publications, while the most collaborative institutes were Chandigarh University, with 271 papers. The study revealed how to grow research publications of INST, Mohali during study periods. The findings of this study can help library staff and Nano Science and Technology researchers to identify the most works and affiliated institutes.
