Abstract

Cloud computing technology is emerging technology for libraries to give different services to the patrons with the help of cloud. This paper may be helpful to storage of non-book material like CDs, DVDs in cloud era. It helps in reducing cost, time and manpower of library staff and solving current resource sharing problem to utilize library resources. In the first part, paper describes present situation of storage of CDs/DVDs and the second part proposes to improve services using cloud computing. The purpose of this article is to compare current storage facility and future cloud computing services in libraries.
