Mapping of Astrophysics Research Output in India during the Period from 1989 to 2016

Abstract
This study analyses the astrophysics research output in India from the year 1989 to 2016. The data was downloaded from web of science database which was maintained by Thomson Reuters. The year wise authorship pattern study reveals that two authors and three authors have the maximum number of contributions with 4765 with 27.96% and 3663 with 21.49% publications. It has also been noted that out of 17046 papers, single authors contribute only 2450 (14.37%) papers.
