Abstract
Cloud computing provides many opportunities for libraries to offer services to users in innovative ways. Cloud computing is user-centric, task-centric, powerful and is always accessible. These features of cloud computing offer many opportunities for libraries to reshape their services. At the same time, libraries should also give attention to many issues that come up when cloud computing is employed in library environment. Libraries should invest a lot of thinking before experimenting with cloud computing. This paper intends to examine the opportunities that cloud computing – a technological development – has brought in and the issues that it may bring along with it when adopted in library environment.
