Use of INDEST E-Resources by IIT Faculty: A Study
Abstract
This study examines the years of using INDEST E-Resources awareness by IIT faculty with different demographics like name of IITs, designation, gender, age and computer literacy/computer qualification. It indicates that IIT-Kharagpur is 80% which is highest in this category and lowest is IIT Bombay which is 47% the Chi-Square value is 68.725 and sig value is .000 (<.05); hence, difference are statistically significant, the cross tabulation between designation and years of using, more than 4 years of using across designation is higher compared to other years of using. Professor is 79% which is highest in this category and lowest is Assistant Professor which is 54% the Chi-Square value is 46.367 and sig value is .000 (<.05); hence, difference are statistically significant.
