Role of E-Learning in Higher Education in India, Benefits and Challenges: A Review

This paper describe e-learning, its benefits and challenges at higher educational institutes in India. The purpose of this paper is to present an intuition about e-learning and its use in the higher institution. Further, it elaborates the reasons for slower progress of e-learning. It also discusses the role, which librarians can play for providing effective e-learning environment in higher education.
