A Bibliometric Analysis of Research Output on Aromatherapy
Abstract
This paper presents quantitative assessment of world literature on aromatherapy research as indexed in PubMed database during the period 2001 to 2015. Data on 785 publications were collected by conducting an advanced search in PubMed database. The highest number of papers (81) was published in the year 2014. Most of the publications (77.84%) were contributed in collaboration. About 17.96% papers were the outcome of collaboration of more than five authors.
