Abstract

The free radical copolymerization of N-(4-chloro-2-methyl phenyl) maleimide (CMPM) with ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and vinyl acetate in THF at 65ºC using free radical initiator was described. The physical characteristics like solubility, intrinsic viscosity and molecular weight were determined and discuss the effect of vinyl monomer in properties of polymers. The structure was ascertained by spectral analysis. The thermal stability of copolymers was evaluated by TGA.
