Nyctanthes arbortristis is known as night-flowering jasmine and belongs to Oleaceae family. It is a fragrant white flowering shrub that is medicinally useful, sacred, and ornamental plant species. It is commonly grown in garden areas due to its pleasant fragrance and unique. The plant also growing on rocky areas in dry hillshades and is tolerant of moderate shade. It contains several phytochemicals like phenolic compound, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, saponins and it shows various pharmacological activities like antiasthmatic, hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic effects, antiviral, antileishmaniasis, anticancerous, antimalarial, antifungal, antibacterial, antipyretic, antihistaminic, antioxidant activities etc. Leaves of Nyctanthes contain very high content of penolic compounds. These compounds are acts as anti-oxidants. The phenolic compounds are extracted from this plant leaves through various extraction methods for medicinal drugs preparation. It is controlled various disorders. The alcoholic extract of leaves were found to be effective in preventing the development of asphyxia. In this experiment the phenolic compound concentration are obtained from various solvent extracts. Ethanol is a best solvent and optimum for phenolic compound. Before column chromatography it was found to be 17 µg/ml and after column it was enhanced to be 19 µg/ml. Here silica gel is a stationary phase and adsorbed the impurities of plant extract samples
