Synthesis Spectral Characterisation and Biological Activity of Hetero-cyclic Compound of 2-Imidazolones
Abstract
Because of the wide range of applications for 2-imidazolones, they have achieved enormous importance in human life. Although there are other methods for generating 2-imidazolones, the bulk of them required an 8 to 10 hour reflux period. As a result, the suggested study was done to develop a simple process for the synthesis of 2-imidazolones and to improve product yield by using Zeolite as a catalyst. The work described here addresses the synthesis of several substituted 2-imidazolones using substituted benzoins and urea as solvents and Zeolite as a catalyst. The work presented here discusses the synthesis of a number of substituted 2-imidazolones using substituted benzoins and urea as solvents and Zeolite as a catalyst. Substituted benzoins have been produced from aromatic aldehydes through condensation in the presence of aqueous NaCN. Chemical characteristics, elemental analysis, and spectrum analysis were used to characterize produced substances.References
