Precipitation Variability Assessment using GIS and Geostatistical Techniques: A Study of Chamarajanagara District, Karnataka, India
Abstract
Abstract
Precipitation is an important parameter for the life cycle of living beings; also it plays a major role in global and country economic system. If there is a decline in precipitation then whole agricultural and food chain imbalance will become more. The present study is conducted to assess the spatial and temporal changes in precipitation pattern. The precipitation is interpolated using ordinary kriging to represent spatial distribution. The coefficient of variation shows an expectancy of rainfall in future days.
