In recent years, there has been sudden rise in the demand of herbal formulations and plant based drugs on global levels, resulting in heavy exploitation of medicinal plants. Uncontrolled and unscientific harvest of several species has created a major decline of species and habitat loss. To conserve these plant germplasm conservation and in vitro propagation is a safe method for producing genetically uniform and disease free plant.
