Electrical Properties of Znx Mg (1-x)TS Single Crystals
Abstract
Non-linear optics plays an important role in emerging photonic and optoelectronic technologies. In the present study semi-organic mixed crystals of Znx Mg (1-x) TS for various values of x viz. 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9 and 1 by slow evaporation technique. The grown crystals were characterized by EDS, XRD and Electrical measurements like capacitance measurement and loss factor using ALIGANT LCR meter for various values of temperature ranging from 40oC to 120oC in the steps of 10oC at different ac frequencies such as 1kHz,5kHz,10kHz,50kHz,100kHz,150kHz and 200kHz. Dielectric constant and ac conductivity was determined from the capacitance and loss factor.AC activation energy has also been calculated. The dielectric constant and loss factor increase when temperature increases and decreases when frequency decreases.
