On an alternative concept of the symmetry factor based on skewness of a TL peak
Keywords:

Symmetry factor is very crucial in the analysis of Thermoluminescence (TL) peaks. Knowledge of symmetry factor is required for the evalution of trapping parameters of a TL peak. The usual symmetry is denoted by shape factor of the peak. In the present paper an alternative concept of symmetry factor of the TL peak based on its skewness is developed. The present findings are applied both to computer generated and experimental TL peaks and encouraging results have been obtained.
