Abstract

The wisdoms of ancient Rishisin Bharat were recognized even in the present age of science and
technology. Space ships that appeared, vanished, and moved from one planet to another were created by Rishi Bhardwaj. In addition to creating missiles, Rishi Vishwamitra taught his disciples how to operate and maintain them. There were numerous kinds of missiles. Some had fire, while others had other weapons, smoke, radiation, electric sparks, etc. The missile had to hit its target without fail. Furthermore, they detailed the defensive capabilities of missiles. Suppose, the counteract missile of Agni missile was water missile. The paper seeks to explore the contributions of some ancient physicists in ancient Bharat. Methodology: This study is descriptive by nature based basically on secondary information like books, journals, web-journals, and websites published in different times. Results and Discussion: The contributions of some prominent physicists of ancient Bharat like Rishi Yajnavalkya (9 th or 8 th century BCE), Rishi Kanad (600 BCE), Varahamihira (505-587 CE), Lalla (720-790 CE), Bhaskara II (1114-1185 CE) are discussed in brief. Conclusion: The profound insights, pioneering discoveries, and revolutionary theories contributed by our great forefathers continue to shape our understanding of Physics and Astronomy till today.
