Comparison of Powers for Testing Parameters of Two Negative-Exponential Distributions

Abstract

In this paper we make comparative study of testing the hypothesis of two independently distributed negative-exponential distributions after deriving the conditional distribution of complete sufficient statistic of interest, by fixing the sum of the transformed variable. We use it in testing the equality of both the parameters. Further the power function of the asymptotic test has been obtained for some points. Also the testing of equality of parameters has been done by likelihood ratio test and some of the power points have been compared to those of conditional test.
