Veterinary Science Information: Sources and Usage

Meghna Mishra

Abstract

This study looks at the sources of veterinary science knowledge and how practitioners use them. It is divided into three sections: a background discussion based on a selective literature review, a report of a survey of veterinary surgeons' information usage, and an overview of internet resources linked to this issue. Information sources and information management may be viewed as key components of veterinary professionals' ongoing professional development. Veterinary information supply is in flux, as it is in many professional fields, with electronic and audio-visual sources augmenting and, to some extent, challenging a range of printed sources built over many years.
