Abstract

In present scenario, libraries are not only about lending books but they are creative spaces now, not only for individuals, but also collaborative teams. They are the way to embrace technology and avoid digital exclusion. When the technological change takes place in higher education; it has its first impact on libraries, because they are the one who connect education, users and resources. The present article discusses new technology, trends, sci-fi gadgets that can be implemented or adopted in academic libraries in near future. It throws lights on mobile apps, book mark and guides, augmented reality, book delivery drone, kinetic bikes etc. These new innovations will significantly improve the way users retrieve information, making it more easy, accessible and relevant for them.
