In the field of Library and Information Science open access archives play a vital role to search the material published and unpublished in various sources of information. This Paper analyzed the 42 open access archives based on predetermined parameters i.e. characteristic featured, browse facility available, featured collection, submission policies and procedure, copyright policies and use of social media. Based on the analysis of the archives findings were presented. As the outcome of the study prototype designing of Open Access Archives for Library and Information Science at National level is suggested so that LIS professionals have one window platform for submission of their research output and other publications.
