Abstract

The users in library can search the bibliographic database and find the specific information online. The users mostly search the new titles of new books and users want to also reserve it. OPAC is also helpful for displaying current status of any books this is very useful for all users. This paper examine Online Public Access Catalogue usage by student in pure science of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The paper discusses various aspects of OPAC such as How to know to about the OPAC, Awareness of the OPAC, satisfaction level, modes and method of searching on OPAC etc. The result of the study show that training or user orientation programme is compulsory to all the users of Shivaji University. The major problem find out is internet connectivity and awareness about the OPAC.
