The Genus Entodon (Entodontaceae; Bryophyta) from Mathikettan Shola National Park in Kerala, India

Abstract

The paper deals with the morphotaxonomic studies on six species of the genus Entodon viz., Entodon chloropus Ren.&Card., Entodon macropodus (Hedw.) C. Muell., E. nepalensis Mizushima, E. ovicarpus Dix., E. plicatus C.Muell. and E. scariosus Ren. collected from the Mathikettan Shola National Park in Western Ghats of Kerala, India. Among these Entodon nepalensis Mizushima is being described as new record for Peninsular India.
