Water is a life source it cover most of the earth surface, it can be found in rivers, seas, oceans and ground water. It may has different proprieties depend on the sources or seasonal or the environments. In this study measurements of some physical and chemical variables were made specifically in Khartoum site, where water samples were taken from different areas representing rivers, wells and water purification stations. Then UV spectrometer was used to get the absorbance spectra for all samples in May and July. The determination of the acidity of the water or alkalinity, the pH of the samples was done using the pH/meter, and a comparison was made for all the results in the May and July. At the end of the study we found good agreement with the previous study of the changes in physical and chemical properties. Absorption of water is increase in the rain season. Rivers has the high value of absorption for Blue Nile of 2.103 a.u. as compared with the wells and water purification stations. In the Blue Nile, the amounts of suspended matter and nutrients are largely dependent upon the flood regime which lead to decreased light penetration and raise the absorbance. Besides that it noticed that there is an increase in the pH in May while it decreases in the rain period in July. Blue Nile shows the highest pH value in May of 8.49 and the value drop in July to 7.23 which coincided with the arrival of the brown flood water, while water station has a constant pH values.
