Superoxide Dismutase: An Emerging Target for Human Therapeutic

Abstract

 

Superoxide dismutases (SODs) represent a very essential antioxidant guard beside oxidative stress in the body. The enzyme does something as an excellent restorative mediator next to reactive oxygen species (ROSs)-mediated multiple sicknesses. The current review portrays the curative property of SOD in diverse physiological and pathological circumstances such as cancer, inflammatory diseases, gene mutation, cardio therapy, aging, neurodegenerative diseases, and diabetes. However, the enzyme has positive boundaries in experimental applications. Consequently, SOD conjugates and mimetic have been developed to amplify its healing competence.
