Abstract

Floristic investigations are necessary to know the present status of species and for initiating conservation measures. The present study was conducted in district Bhopal to investigate taxonomy and medicinal uses of Meliaceae family growing naturally throughout the study area. Various field surveys made during flowering and fruiting stages of Bhopal district lead to the identification of 4 species under 4 genera belonging to Meliaceae family. The present study will be helpful for future researchers especially to plant conversationalists and other researchers working in pharmacology for further investigation.
