Abstract
The 190-198Hg isotopes with proton number Z=80 and neutron numbers (n) between 110 and 118 in O(6) region were investigated. The potential energy surface has been calculated within the framework using interacting boson model (IBM-1). The contour plot of the potential energy surfaces shows that the interested nuclei are deformed and have γ-unstable-like characters.
